JOB DESCRIPTION

This production-focused maintenance leadership role is responsible for assessing equipment performance, coordinating with maintenance planners and other technical resources, and developing the daily corrective action plan to address recurring equipment issues. The Maintenance Manager will present and align on these plans during the daily integration meeting to ensure effective execution and resolution of maintenance concerns within the assigned area. As the owner of production equipment, the Maintenance Manager will lead the implementation of equipment and process improvements in response to KPI action triggers. This role will also drive long-term reliability initiatives by strengthening collaboration between maintenance and operations teams and advancing autonomous maintenance practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership to the team which includes following the Performance Management System; setting expectations that align to business objectives and providing routine feedback on performance.
  • Provides reliability support, technology expertise, and best practices for design reviews, construction, operability, maintainability, and standards.
  • Monitors team performance and audits activities to ensure personnel are performing quality work, supporting a quality product, and providing service to meet all Sealed Air's goals.
  • Manages the PDCA process from the cradle to the grave to include problem statement, root cause analysis, and counter measure implementation.
  • Works with area improvement teams to identify, evaluate, and implement reliable improvement opportunities through changes to operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and equipment upgrades.
  • Develops, posts, and communicates procedures/processes for their area that support the Lenoir and Hudson Sites Plant Maintenance Strategies.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and addressing technical problems, and owns their area's development programs which includes training new Maintenance Technicians, education, and hands-on experience.
  • Ensures that work is accomplished accurately and safely by Maintenance Team by conducting regular audits.
  • Develops Proactive Maintenance opportunities.
  • Owns and updates KPIs related to their MPG, and drives behavior to improve performance. Ownership for standard documentation (PLC program, Drive program, HMI, equipment drawing, FMEAs).
  • Responsible for Maintenance financials and Maintenance safety.
  • Responsible for workplace organization (WPO).
  • Applies basic functions of SAP to all aspects of Asset Management.
  • Benchmarks sister plants regularly.
  • Sets stores maintenance inventory classifications and stocking levels.
  • Actively supports capital and sustainability projects.
  • Executes a robust Preventive Maintenance Optimization Program.
  • Grows our Operator Driven Reliability (Autonomous Maintenance)
  • Grows our Predictive Maintenance
  • Uses Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology
  • Develops Area Asset Management Strategies
  • Overhaul Planning
  • Responsibilities may be defined, added, or deleted over time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrates safety commitment.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Process and Instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, mechanical layout and design.
  • Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Computer aptitude; proficiency in MS Office, to include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project Management.
  • AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
  • SAP PM experience preferred.
  • Willing to travel 25%.
  • Wears all required PPE: hearing protection, safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • Performs all duties using safe work methods and required safety inspections.
  • Attends and participates in monthly Safety Meetings.
  • Complies with all established safety rules and policies.
  • Reports unsafe conditions, all accidents, and near misses immediately to Supervisor or Manager.
