We are seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Vice President of IT to lead enterprise AI initiatives and drive digital transformation. This role is ideal for a leader with strong technical capability, demonstrated ability to influence across matrixed organizations, and a readiness to adopt and scale AI frameworks. The VP will work closely with business leaders to develop AI business cases, lead implementation efforts, and embed generative AI into core operations to improve efficiency, automation, and customer experience.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• AI Program Leadership
  • Work with key leaders of the organization to develop AI strategy aligned with financial and operational goals.
  • Determine and develop use cases with ROI outcomes through engagement with business units and departments.
  • Develop methods to operationalize the use of Generative AI to solve business challenges.
  • Manage the execution of AI projects from concept through delivery, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to the Company Leadership and CIO on AI-related opportunities, risks, and investments.
  • Champion the adoption of generative AI technologies across the enterprise.
  • Build an AI portfolio and steering mechanism for the use of AI to drive enterprise value.
• Business Partnership & Influence
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and validate AI use cases tailored to business unit needs.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to influence adoption and integration of AI technologies.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable AI solutions.
• AI Framework Adoption
  • Drive readiness and adoption of AI Technology frameworks and platforms across the organization.
  • Develop learning plans for cohorts of employees at various levels of the organization, from leadership through frontline staff.
  • Promote the use of prompt engineering to automate workflows and streamline tasks.
  • Establish governance and best practices for AI development and deployment.
• Cross-Functional Execution
  • Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Partner with IT, finance, operations, and support functions to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities, risks, and ethical considerations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 10 + years' experience in the information technology field.
• Proven experience leading AI projects and digital transformation in a matrixed organization.
• Strong technical background in AI, large language models, machine learning, and prompt engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and functions.
• Experience working closely with business leaders to develop and execute AI business cases.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in AI implementations.
