Purpose of the Role:


We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional with deep retail production expertise, strong operational and financial management skills, a proven ability to drive process efficiencies and motivate teams. The Channel Lead will oversee an internal planning and production team, builds strong partnerships with vendors and client stakeholders, and ensures the delivery of high-quality retail marketing solutions. The Channel Lead will own tools, processes, and guidelines to ensure timely, efficient, and successful outcomes for our Sporting Goods client.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the account team's subject matter expert on retail production management and operations, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and structure.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated channel team (local and remote) to deliver high-quality production and marketplace solutions on time and aligned with client needs.
  • Partner with Retail Marketing Planners to forecast, track, and report on key account metrics weekly and monthly.
  • Provide clear direction and set expectations, ensuring alignment with the client's brand standards and overall vision.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, internal teams, and external partners to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Present new ideas to clients to expand retail presence through innovative displays, seasonal initiatives, and cross-channel marketing strategies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client markets, retail environments, and competitive landscapes.
  • Proactively address and resolve client concerns, track trends, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Gather and act on client feedback to continuously optimize service, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational performance.
  • Communicate progress on initiatives clearly to stakeholders via dashboards, reporting, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Manage financial operations including invoicing, supplier payments, budget adjustments, and cash flow targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities and deliver solutions to drive sustainable business success.


Knowledge, Skills + Experience:



  • 10+ years in retail production, operations, or print management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the production industry, including print formats, materials, and fixture fabrication (preferred).
  • Proven success delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget retail and visual marketing solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and influence credibly at all organizational levels, including executive stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management and business tools:


    • HUB, Monday.com, Ariba, SmartSheets, Excel, SharePoint, and SAP.


  • Commitment to sustainable practices and eco-friendly production methods.
  • Passion for retail marketing, including 2D/3D displays and innovative solutions.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
