What you'll do and what you'll bring:

The Department of Economics has an adjunct professor position available October 22, 2025 for the Spring 2026 semester. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate level in microeconomics, macroeconomics and business statistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and evaluating student performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage with bright and motivated students at a dynamic public research university.

• Teach one or more undergraduate courses in economics as assigned by the department chairperson.

• Develop a clear and comprehensive syllabus that aligns with departmental learning objectives.

• Prepare and deliver engaging course content (lectures, activities, and discussions).

• Create, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations in a timely manner.

• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.

• Hold regular office hours (either in-person or virtually) to be accessible to students.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.

• Submit final grades according to the university's academic calendar.

• Adhere to all departmental and university policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications:

Masters in economics or related field by time of appointment.

Preferred qualifications:

Teaching experience at university or college level.
