Overview

The Technical Services Manager will oversee and manage projects related to PDE CAD Services, ProjectWise, and Computer Aided Design solutions within the Substation Engineering practice. Reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer, this role will focus on modernization of design activities, driving innovation, maintaining and development internal procedures and standards, and ensuring the effective implementation of new technologies and design processes.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee initiatives related to Power Sector's use of ProjectWise, CAD software, and other software/technology to align objectives with sector and practice initiatives.
  • Maintain, modernize, and develop new internal procedures and standards to promote consistency across teams, enhance operational efficiency and promote quality.
  • Identify and oversee the implementation and integration of digital tools and innovations to improve project delivery, collaboration and data analytics.
  • Coordinate the maintenance, training and procedures related to PDE Quality Review Error Tracking (QRET) system.
  • Work closely with the practice leadership, engineering teams, and IT to align technical services with practice goals.
  • Facilitate training programs and provide technical support for CAD and ProjectWise systems.
  • Develop methods to track team performance and ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to implementation of new technology into engineering processes.
  • Other duties as the needs of the organization develop.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in CAD management, ProjectWise administration, or related technical services roles.
  • Understanding of electrical substation and power utility engineering projects.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering or design environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise, Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk products, and CAD standards.
  • Experience with digital innovation, automation, and data systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across practices and with senior leadership.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
