Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc Position Overview: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy for a defined region. This role involves managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals, identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets. The position requires a strong understanding of the company's products or services and the ability to navigate market conditions effectively. Supervisory Responsibilities: Set goals and objectives and develop strategies and plans to achieve goals. Define Team Members roles and responsibilities Motivate and inspire Team Members while providing direction and support. Maintain and foster a positive work environment. Implement corrective actions and coaching when necessary. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Recruit and hire the right people. Provide training and development opportunities for Team Members. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and monitor Team Member's performance against goals. Manage budgets and financial resources while tracking expenditures and ensuring cost effectiveness. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to meet company objectives and sales targets. Set sales goals for the region and support the Territory Sales Managers in achieving them. Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients in the region, ensuring customer satisfaction. Assist Territory Sales Managers with negotiating contracts and close deals with existing and new customers. Assist Territory Sales Managers in identifying new business opportunities within the region, expanding the company's presence and market share. Work closely with departments such as marketing, factory product development, and the service departments to ensure alignment of efforts. Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software. Track sales performance, revenue, and profitability, and report results to senior management. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities: Exceptional leadership, sales, and management skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Extensive knowledge of lift truck specifications and capacities. Ability to analyze sales data and market trends. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel through the assigned region. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within the Material Handling Industry. Physical Requirements: Sitting and Standing: Ability to sit for extended periods to perform desk work and administrative tasks. Some positions may require standing or moving around the office intermittently. Computer Use: Proficiency in using computers and office equipment, which involves typing, using a mouse, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods. Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle documents, operate office equipment (such as printers and photocopiers), and perform tasks that require precise movements. Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally may need to lift or carry light objects such as files, office supplies, or packages. The specific weight limits can vary. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are often essential, including the ability to converse with coworkers and clients, and to operate telephones and other communication devices. Mobility: Depending on the office layout, may need to move around the office to attend meetings, retrieve documents, or assist others. Could be required to work in Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing capabilities to perform tasks such as reading documents, communicating with others, and using office equipment effectively. Could be required to work in hot and cold environments both outside and in warehouse settings. | |
