We're actively seeking a talented Systems Analyst to join our teams in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha NE.

As a Systems Analyst, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by working as a liaison between business partners and technology, supporting technical projects and developing a career as an IT professional. You will join a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment. Your colleagues will include fellow Systems Analysts, Project Leads/Scrum Masters, Software Engineers and other IT professionals.

How you will make an impact:

  • Actively participate in gathering requirements that will be translated into technical specifications

  • Work directly with business partners and technical teams to manage small to midsize projects

  • Apply basic data and system analysis principles to document business requirements that can include process and data flow diagrams

  • Draft and maintain a variety of technical documentation, including requirements documents

The experience you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years' experience in Annuity or Insurance industry, with knowledge of annuity products and policy administration systems

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks based on customer and team feedback

What will make you stand out:

  • Understanding of Annuity Operations & Sales departments is highly desired

  • Previous experience participating in small to midsize technology projects

  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance and/or User Acceptance Testing

  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban

  • Basic knowledge of SQL

  • Basic understanding of the System Development Life Cycle

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$43.92 - $53.68
