Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Cypress, CA. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
  • Involved with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. Debug test hardware and software.
  • Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned task on time and budget
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
  • May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
  • Report of progress and status regularly
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • Participates in preparation of less-complex proposals
  • May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
Here's what you'll get:
Length: Temporary (until 2/1/2026)
Schedule: 2nd - 4:30pm - 12:30am OR 3rd - 12:00am - 8:30am (work 5 days including Fri, Sat & Sun)
Pay: $45-$75 + shift differential
Holiday pay (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day)

Job Requirements
Here's what requirements you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Physics or Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience
Here's what sets you apart from other candidates that our clients prefer:
  • Experience in Class 1000 Cleanroom
  • Previous experience with thermal testing using cryogenic cooling
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of Optical Systems (cameras, telescopes, detectors) is a plus
  • Electrical circuit troubleshooting skills is a plus
  • Good communication skills and a team player
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requirements Verification Methods and Processes (flow down of requirements into test methods and procedures) Test Plan, Test Procedure and Test Report development
  • Hands on Integration and Testing activities (System operation, System Calibration, Data taking, troubleshooting, fault analysis)
  • Knowledge of Optical Systems, detectors, cameras, telescopes including Visible and Infrared wavelengths
  • Optical Systems measurements and data processing including Optical MTF, Detector Noise, Optical Boresight measurements, Optical Field of View
  • Experience with test equipment: Collimators, Interferometers, Thermal Chambers and Vibration Tables
  • Experience with MSOffice
Additional Information:
  • Work on site in Cypress California.
  • Work in a Class 1000 Cleanroom, requiring a full cleanroom suit.
  • Hours will vary week to week. Expect a minimum of 27 hours and a maximum of 54 hours each week depending on the number of shifts worked.
  • Work involves monitoring and controlling thermal test equipment using LN2 (liquid nitrogen).
  • Work will be in and out of the cleanroom a few times per shift.
  • Cleanroom and Cryogenic Training will be provided.
  • We work in pairs for safety, with one Sr. and one Jr. tester on each shift
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a 'U.S. Person', as defined in ITAR clause 120.15.
