What to Expect
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Spares Technician to join our team. As the frontline executor for spare parts flow, you will be responsible for the accurate receiving, inspection, and organization of parts within our spares warehouse. This role involves direct interfacing with maintenance teams, managing inventory systems, and ensuring the seamless availability of materials for equipment repair. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can communicate progress effectively and is committed to driving continuous process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Inventory Management:Receive, inspect, and accurately label all incoming spare parts, transacting them into our inventory system (Flux)
- Order Fulfillment:Support the maintenance team by quickly and accurately picking and delivering parts upon request to facilitate equipment repairs
- Logistics & Transport:Retrieve deliveries from docks and transport materials between our main and satellite locations as needed
- Warehouse Organization:Organize and stock parts in various warehouse locations, creating new locations and labels for bins to maintain a clean and orderly environment based on 5S principles
- Inventory Accuracy:Perform daily cycle counts, assist with physical inventory, reconcile discrepancies, and manage returns to ensure precise stock levels
- Communication:Report daily results, issues, and ideas to the supervisor. Promptly communicate any stock discrepancies, damaged parts, or other issues to the Production Control Supervisor
What You'll Bring
- Experience with material handling and warehouse systems
- Experience in packaging, stocking, and shipping
- Proficiency with Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and stand for long periods
