The successful candidate will be a core faculty member of the Residency Program for the Family Medicine department and responsible for supervising and teaching residents and students in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The faculty member will participate in curriculum development, serve as an advisor to a team of residents, provide direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, participates in scholarly activity, serves as a leader and role model for residents, and will be expected to produce one academic publication or presentation annually in cooperation with the residents. For Family Medicine, this faculty member will be asked to participate in the gynecological and obstetrical training required of Family Medicine training programs and therefore must also have experience and be able to be credentialed in our institution to teach and perform these duties. Protected time is given as required by the accrediting agencies for all of the above activities and beyond these requirements the Program Director with work with the faculty member to specify their full-time activities. *Northside offers the following ACGME approved postgraduate programs: Internal Medicine - Preliminary Year, Categorical Positions Family Medicine - Categorical Positions, Transitional Year Program as well as a Sports Medicine Fellowship *Northside has a large group of core faculty consisting of Doctors of Osteopathic and Allopathic Medicine dedicated to ensure our residents and fellows have the highest quality clinical experience and medical training during their time in our programs *Voted by Newsweek among America's Greatest Hospitals in 2024 * Voted by Newsweek as America's Greatest Workplaces for Women in 2024 Northside Hospital Gwinnett is undergoing a $42M expansion, including the addition of a new 15-story medical tower and numerous new medical office buildings.
