Description Barbara Bush Children's Hospital Professional - Nonclinical Summary: Under the direction of the MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's Hospital Philanthropy Manager, the Philanthropy Specialist will join a fast paced, mission-driven team raising funds to benefit children cared for at Maine's only full-service children's hospital. This individual will perform a variety of local event and national Children's Miracle Network Hospitals campaign executions, direct solicitations, portfolio management, and some administrative functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: growing a portfolio of national programs and partnerships by meeting or surpassing set targets annually, including financial; creating and editing promotional materials; producing high-quality written content; developing recognition plans for assigned programs and partners; recruiting dedicated volunteers and leading volunteer programs, as appropriate; cultivating and building relationships with new donors, volunteers, and program supporters through regular field visits, face-to-face, and/or virtual meetings. This position is office based in Portland, with the potential in the future to work some days at home contingent on performance. The work schedule for this position includes regular evening and weekend work, travel across Maine and New Hampshire (must have personal vehicle), as well as twice-annual travel to CMN Hospitals national conferences. The position requires independent thinking, the ability to multi-task, public speaking, and excellent organizational skills. Please include a resume and cover letter with your application.
