GENERAL SUMMARY

As a Desktop Support Technician at PCC Structurals, Inc., you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service and technical support of our computer infrastructure at one or more of our Structurals sites. Troubleshooting and providing support for computers, laptops, printers, and software are some of the daily responsibilities of a Desktop Support Technician. Good communication skills, positive attitude, and being a team player are essential for a successful candidate placed in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware
    * Installing and troubleshooting applications from our large software portfolio
    * Technical phone support, documenting problem resolution in our help desk ticketing system
    * Working with customers, peers and management on technical solutions
    * Participating in an on-call rotation and other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a minimum of an Associate degree in a related discipline or experience in lieu of an Associate degree.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or other industry related certifications.
    * Excellent customer service skills.
    * Exhibits strong communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels.
    * Utilize technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements.
    * Basic understand of IT Security requirements

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

The candidate must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 35 lbs.), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
