DESCRIPTION

Manages contracts with nursing schools for clinical placements. Verifies nursing students and other allied health professional students meet all compliance requirements and completes onboarding for UCSD. Coordinates student-preceptor matching in clinical settings. Oversees pre and post licensure nursing student programs and externship programs. Provides training to other departments to establish allied health student programs to meet needs. Serves as an active member of the San Diego Student Nurse Consortium, promoting consistent placement practices across facilities and schools. Builds and maintains strong relationships with local schools and facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.

  • Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures.

  • Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

  • Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs.

  • Thorough knowledge of current community educational programs and trends.

  • Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare administration or related field.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $55,400 - $93,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.53 - $44.92

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
