About the role

The Sr. Manager, Project Management Office-based in Schaumburg, IL, within Business Performance-is responsible for establishing and leading the IT PMO. This role serves as a critical bridge between ISIT (Delivery, Operations, and Security) and Business Units to oversee the full project lifecycle, portfolio governance, and risk management. The Sr. Manager, Project Management Office drives standardization, compliance, and alignment with enterprise priorities while enabling new capabilities through effective tools, processes, and stakeholder collaboration. More specifically, you will:

  • Establish and Evolve the IT PMO. Set up the IT PMO by developing and implementing project management frameworks, templates, and best practices to support effective delivery across ISIT and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee IT Project Portfolio. Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and optimal resource allocation.
  • Drive Enterprise PMO Alignment. Collaborate with the Business Performance PMO and OCM to design and deploy standardized enterprise-wide PMO tools and processes.
  • Lead Strategic IT Projects. Manage key IT initiatives from planning through execution to support stabilization, modernization, and capability enablement.
  • Manage Project Budgets and Forecasts. Support annual portfolio planning, oversee project budgets, facilitate CapEx approvals, and ensure accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Provide Executive Reporting and Insights. Deliver regular project updates and performance metrics through biweekly IT leadership meetings, monthly reporting, and quarterly KPIs.
  • Lead and Develop PMO Team. Provide strategic direction, performance management, and professional development to PMO team members.
  • Enable Business Stakeholder Engagement. Facilitate biweekly enhancement intake and update meetings, ensuring project visibility and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate IT Communications and Events. Serve as the IT point of contact for corporate communications and lead planning for IT townhalls and engagement activities.
  • Mentor IT Project Managers. Offer coaching and support to project managers to build capability, improve execution, and ensure alignment with PMO standards.

Required and Preferred Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, or related field (required)
  • PMP or Certified Scrum Master (preferred)

Required and Preferred Work Experience

  • 10+ years managing technology projects and stakeholder relationships across complex environments
  • Proven success delivering multiple initiatives within portfolios valued at $5M-$10M
  • Deep experience leading complex implementations using structured and Agile methodologies
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and drive strategic delivery across the organization
Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is 132,258 - 165,323 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
