Summary: The Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis corporate function as well as own management reporting deliverables. This leader will partner closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making through robust financial modeling, insightful and actionable analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and M&A support activities. The Director of Finance will play a key role in driving financial performance, optimizing profitability, and supporting the firm's overall business. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of financial principles, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams. Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the firm's annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and KPIs that support business decisions.
- Own financial planning system, develop and maintain FP&A models and reporting tools.
- Partner with practice leaders and department heads to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and financial efficiencies across the firm.
- Partner with Controller on financial close, creation of financial policies and procedures, and financial process optimization
- Lead preparation of monthly/quarterly executive-level reporting packages with variance analysis and key insights.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and scenario modeling for profitability analysis.
- Evaluate performance trends, identify and present areas of improvement.
- Develop firmwide guidelines in alignment with cost containment strategies and revenue tracking mechanisms.
- Design and implement KPIs to accurately capture performance drivers
- Identify and execute financial process optimization opportunities, provide recommendations related to scalability of business processes to increase efficiency and actionable data insights.
- Hands on understanding of M&A transactions for impact on financial plan, models and reporting.
- Educate and train leaders on best business practices that drive better financial performance and effective execution of cost containment strategies
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to inform performance tracking and operational decision-making.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO and executive team.
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and internal stakeholders on financial matters, including billing, collections, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and conduct training to enhance financial and business acumen across the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strongly preferred: Master's Degree and/or CFA or CPA.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related functions, preferably in a professional services environment (e.g., consulting, legal, engineering, or accounting firms).
- Prior management experience leading a team of high performing analysts
- Strong leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Ability to develop financial projections and models, and strategize on process scalability
- Expertise in driving firmwide planning process, build financial models, and use of data visualization tools.
- Hands on experience is developing planning workflows and leading firmwide planning process.
- Proficiency in financial planning and business analytics systems (Sage/Intacct, Workday Adaptive, SAP, Planful, PowerBI, Salesforce, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex ideas to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of strategic thinking.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to details.
- Creative and curious mind that can see the 'Big Picture', with proven ability to execute on the vision
- Commitment to financial integrity, transparency, and ethical decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in professional services, accounting industry
- Lead firmwide planning process and design process flow
- Build and lead high performing Finance team
- M&A modeling and integration experience.
- Change management and process improvement background.
- Prior experience in implementing financial systems and financial process build out
- Hands on knowledge of Workday Adaptive and direct experience in leading system enhancements
Compensation: This role offers a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S.-based positions are determined by geographic location and fall into one of three pay zones, which reflect the cost of labor in that area.
