Overview
Vermont State Parks seeks a positive, energetic, hard-working administrative professional to join our team. The Administrative Services Technician IV supports multiple facets of park operations for up to two Park Regions, and may also support call center and marketing work in the Central Office. This position is heavily involved in the administrative aspects of recruiting, hiring, onboarding and offboarding up to approximately 200 seasonal staff each year. The position works closely with our Human Resources partners to accomplish this. The position also provides administrative assistance to up to two park regions. These duties include, but are not limited to, general administrative assistance; coordinating permits, licenses, and other agreements; assisting with supply procurement and distribution; preparing reports; event planning; merchandise program support; and more. The position may also assist marketing and call center operations in the Central Office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives when working on diverse projects and supporting partners. Candidates should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to tackle various assignments. Work is primarily in an office setting. The position will be based out of either the Barre or Essex Regional Office. Regular travel to the other location, and/or the Central Office in Montpelier will be required. Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization. OR One (1) year of College level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field. OR One (1) year as an Administrative Services Technician III with the State of Vermont. Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
