POSITION OVERVIEW

Leads and optimizes the end-to-end revenue cycle process, ensuring timely billing, accurate collections, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Drives strategic initiatives and performance improvements aligned with organizational goals.

  • Enhances and maintains a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross deperment organizational structure.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive short-term and long-term revenue cycle goals and objectives aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Oversees all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including patient resident eligibility, billing, claims management, accounts receivable and collections.
  • Leads the billing team to ensure timely and accurate billing for services provided.
  • Meets or exceeds company-established key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A/R, DSO, bad debt percentage, and collection rates to idenitfy areas for improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and ICD-10.
  • Manages and develops a high-performing team of revenue cycle professionals.
  • Provides training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluates and implements new revenue cycle technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Keeps up-to-date on changes in healthcare regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures to address regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Key Controls, conducting regular audits, implementing mitigation plans, an dreporting risk areas to executive leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Experience: 8-12 years

Licenses and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with multi-facility revenue cycle operations.
  • Prior experience leadeing census reconciliation and payer audits.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing processes and associated reimbursement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with electronic billing systems and EHR platforms (e.g., PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.

Travel:Yes, minimally, as required (typically less than 10%)
