Job Summary:

BDO's Strategic Resources team connects highly qualified professionals-from mid-level experts to C-level executives-with interim opportunities to support our clients' evolving needs. Our team delivers a wide range of consulting services, including finance and accounting support, strategic planning, brand consulting, and digital transformation. By working collaboratively on diverse projects, we help organizations enhance performance and achieve their strategic goals.

Reporting to the Assurance Practice Leader, Accounting Advisory & Outsourcing, the Recruiting Manager is responsible for managing the placement of posting, identification and interviewing of the most qualified applicants, guidance on the selection of the best candidate and the extension of the offer. In this role, the Recruiting Manager proactively identifies, assesses, and recruits qualified talent to fulfill strategic projects and interim engagements in the areas of finance and accounting; including but not limited to Senior Accountants, Controllers, Directors, VPs of Accounting, and CFOs.

Job Duties:

* Partners with senior management to develop a comprehensive understanding of the essential skills and background to identify the most qualified candidates to ensure successful closure of each opportunity
* Proactively identifies, assesses, and recruits qualified talent to fulfill job orders
* Manages all candidates throughout the interview process in BDO applicant tracking system
* Updates, reviews, and actively utilizes a candidate skills matrix in recruitment activities
* Performs weekly interviews in line with performance objectives
* Negotiates terms and conditions with senior leadership and candidates, including pay rates, contract terms, and service level agreements
* Drives process improvements and adoption of technology to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and compliance in the temp/contract recruitment process
* Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Leads, coaches, and develops a team of recruiters specializing in temporary, contract, and fractional placements, ensuring high performance and professional growth

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, required
* MBA, preferred

Experience:
* Five (5) or more years of work experience in recruiting or staffing experience, required

License/Certifications:
* CPA, preferred

Software:
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required
* Proficient in the use of Indeed, LinkedIn, required
* Experience working with applicant tracking systems (i.e., Oracle), preferred

Language:
* N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Superior verbal and written communications skills, specifically related to need for excellent telephone etiquette
* Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a focus on delivering projected results (high volume / high quality candidates)
* Commitment to and an understanding of the sense of urgency associated with the recruiting process
* Solid analytical and diagnostic skills necessary to proactively resolve unexpected inquiries and issues while maintaining a professional demeanor
* Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a team environment
* Comfortable initiating and/or responding to medium to high volume of calls daily
* Capable of interacting with all levels of external and internal professionals while developing strong productive relationships
* Solid organizational and time management skills specifically relating to completion of appropriate follow through and status updates of effected parties
* Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines; Organized, detailed, and results driven

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $80,000 - $120,000
Maryland Range: $80,000 - $120,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $80,000 - $120,000
