Velocity Care is a dynamic, fast-paced urgent care system with seven regional sites located in southwest VA, delivering high-quality, acute care for patients of all ages. Our providers manage a broad range of conditions, from upper respiratory infections, minor fractures, lacerations and more. We offer a balanced mix of scheduled visits and walk-ins, ensuring variety in your practice. Clinics operate from 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week, with flexible scheduling options, including 12-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts. Providers work primarily at 2-3local sites but are credentialed across the system, maximizing both convenience and staffing flexibility.

Applicants will be required to have graduated from an accreditedPhysician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner program. While prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience is preferred, it is not required-we provide a thorough orientation/training process. Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience: 0

Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
