Salary: $40,000-$45,000

Position Summary
The Coordinator of Financial Aid Operations, under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, is responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks that support financial aid processing and case management. The role reviews and verifies financial information, processes applications, and maintains accurate records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. The coordinator collaborates with colleagues across Enrollment Management to support timely and accurate delivery of financial aid to students. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
*Bachelor's degree
*Two (2) years of experience in financial aid processing, student services, or related roles in higher education.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Experience
*Experience working in a financial aid office or in an Enrollment Management setting.
*Experience with Ellucian Banner Financial Aid module, Ellucian CampusLogic, COD, NSLDS, ELMresource, FAA Access and AES/PHEAA systems.
*Experience analyzing and resolving loan issues between the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) U.S. Department of Education system and the Banner Financial Aid Loan module.
*Experience processing private student loan funding in ELMresource while interpreting various loan lender policies to ensure all financial aid regulations are met.
Required Skills and Abilities
*Strong understanding of federal financial aid regulations, including Title IV programs.
*Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial aid processing.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective case coordination with students, faculty, and staff.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
*Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
*Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate an elevated level of assignment organization, priority, and task orientation skills.
*Outstanding community relations skills, along with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.*Ability to handle difficult situations with care, compassion, and professionalism.
