A little about this position:
  • Assist the Ski Patrol Director, Assistant Director, and Managers in leading the patrol staff in daily operations while caring for our guests as a member of a professional mountain rescue team.
  • Develop staff through daily mentorship, facilitating training, and completing performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, harassment-free environment through mutual respect and an inclusive work environment.


Requirements:
  • Meet the requirements of a Mammoth Mountain Senior Ski Patroller (TT-C).
  • Experience leading/managing complex incidents (medical or rescue).
  • Experience performing the primary patrol dispatcher role.
  • Qualified to lead multiple avalanche control routes on Mammoth Mountain involving the deployment of explosives.
  • Ability to make rational decisions in a highly stressful environment or situation.
  • Effective and timely communication with all Ski Patrollers, Patrol management, and other departments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the Patrol management team.
  • Effective evaluation and mentorship of Ski Patrol TT-B and TT-C personnel.
  • Ability to manage daily Ski Patrol operations.
  • Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office.


Hourly pay rate: $35.58 to $42.44
