Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Department Administrator for the School of Nursing. This position reports to the divisional Associate Dean and Manager - Academic Administration.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Manages Divisional email inbox and telephone.
- Maintains calendars of Divisional Associate and Assistant Deans.
- Receives, opens, and screens incoming and outgoing mail for the division.
- Establishes and maintains confidential correspondence and other files for the division, students, and divisional leadership.
- Takes dictation/notes, and transcribes monthly and other committee meeting minutes as needed for the division and distributes them accordingly.
- Coordinates and/or assists with logistics of divisional events and meetings including travel and lodging arrangements, agendas, information packets, parking, amenities etc.
- Provides on-site guidance to visitors and guests for university-related events.
- Controls office workflow and established office procedures in support of the Rutgers Health School of Nursing, Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) division.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of academia, program design and execution, coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis and writing.
- Five (5) years of professional-level experience in program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of work and management of people.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
