POSITION SUMMARY:

The TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center at Boston Medical Center focuses on pediatric behavioral health integration and collaborates with healthcare practices to expand access to quality behavioral health care for children and families in multicultural pediatric settings. TEAM UP includes a Learning Community that combines clinical training with practice transformation support and an evaluation arm to advance the evidence base for integrated behavioral health care through rigorous mixed methods research. At its core, TEAM UP is a social justice initiative, aimed at increasing access to services and quality care in structurally marginalized communities.

The Training and Workforce Development Manager works closely with the Deputy Director of Workforce Development and Training to manage the day-to-day activities of the clinical training team, including but not limited to training events, curriculum development, and dissemination activities. Additionally, workforce development and field building efforts will fall within the purview of this position, including but not limited to managing the operations of the TEAM UP Center's internship program and matching system. This position will work with the Learning Community Coordinator to ensure smooth operations and communication across the implementation team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Manage execution of all activities, deadlines, and projects for the clinical training team.
  • Conduct training, both in person and virtually, as part of clinical training and implementation team.
  • Develop training content: review and refresh existing training content to be responsive to emerging needs and innovations in the field and develop new content as needed for scale and expansion of the TEAM UP Center's training program.
  • Manage clinical training team's dissemination projects, within the Center's broader framework for oversight of dissemination activities, including conference presentations, manuscript generation, article writing, and other forms of written and oral pursuits.
  • Provide expertise to the Center's knowledge and direction on the Integrated Behavioral Health landscape, both within Massachusetts and nationally.
  • Contribute to research and evaluation processes, particularly related to assessing the impact of clinical practices on patient experiences and workforce wellness.
  • Represent the TEAM UP Center externally via participation in task forces, policy workgroups, and conferences.
  • Facilitate and manage relationship building with educational institutions to expand TEAM UP's internship program as well as other workforce development initiatives.
  • Oversee process of recruiting and matching interns with the TEAM UP Center projects and mentors.
  • Oversee generation of workforce development resources, such as guidance for recruitment and sustainability.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Master's in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in primary care and/or community-based settings.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in pediatric and youth settings
  • Prior experience developing curriculum, teaching, and training

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • N/A

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Clinical licensure (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, or comparable license)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):


  • Knowledge of pediatric primary care and integrated behavioral healthcare.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, including grammatical, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and local resources.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to completion.
