Security Systems Estimator Gaithersburg, MD Pay From: $40.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Security Systems Estimator 3+ years of experience in estimating for security systems, including video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control 3+ years of experience as an Security Systems Account Management or as an Security Systems Field Technician Strong understanding and comfortability of Motorola Avigilon is a must Strong familiarity with blueprints and security system designs such as pre-install diagrams and/or writing new security builds Highly preferred knowledge of Salto KS/Space, AMAG Access Control, and Gallagher Access Control Proficiency in estimation software and tools Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for our solutions during the bidding process Detail-oriented, with a track record of delivering precise and reliable cost estimates under tight deadlines Any relevant certifications are a plus but not required Bachelors degree in a related field is a plus but not required DUTIES: Evaluate and analyze project costs, ensuring all estimates are detailed and accurate Leverage knowledge of security systems (e.g., surveillance, access control) to optimize cost estimates and strategies Understand market trends and industry pricing to highlight competitive advantages in bidding Collect and analyze quotes for materials, equipment, and labor; resolve discrepancies in costs Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure the project scope aligns with estimates Regularly update and refine estimating procedures to maintain efficiency and accuracy Maintain quality assurance by following organization and department standards Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
