Financial Analyst Overview:

The Financial Analyst will partner with key leaders in the organization to drive value creation by providing analytics and insights on performance and engaging with finance peers across the organization. The Financial Analyst is responsible for synthesizing complex financial and operational information, analyzing trends and preparing reports and presentations in support of the financial planning efforts. Collaboration across Operations and Marketing departments within the company, and coordinating with Business Unit Finance, Treasury, Accounting, HR and other corporate support functions is expected.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Build and maintain detailed financial models of the company, including long range forecast models, cash flow models, project finance models, and/or other models as may be requested by the Director/Manager of Financial Analysis
  • Conduct analytics and reporting to provide business and functional teams data needed
  • Support Business Unit Finance as necessary to provide analytical support for operations analysis and decision making
  • Analyzing relevant information, trends, and data to support decision making and forecasting
  • Prepare financial analysis of current operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare cost/benefit analysis on proposed projects and investments
  • Prepare ad hoc operational and financial analysis and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering or other analytical field
  • 2-4 years experience in an financial analytics role or other finance-related experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Working knowledge of airline economics preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the company
  • Excellent PC skills with MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint experience
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets
  • Comfortable with significant change and ablitlity to adapt


Compensation:

Range $70,000 to $80,000

Full-Time, Exempt

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
