Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure Track, School of Physical Therapy - Houston

Texas Woman's University (TWU) School of Physical Therapy is hiring for a full-time 9-month, tenure-track, faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor for our Houston campus. The School of Physical Therapy currently offers DPT and PhD programs on our Dallas, Denton, and Houston campuses. We also collaborate with community partners to offer residency programs in neurology and women's health. TWU's School of Physical Therapy program has a long history of success for over 55 years.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and teaching courses in the professional DPT program
  • Participating in service activities within the School and across the University
  • Maintaining an activity scholarly agenda
  • Advising DPT students
  • Faculty must abide by the TWU Faculty Responsibilities, Standards of Conduct, and Disciplinary Processes (URP 2.330)

Qualifications

  • Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of Texas
  • Earned post-professional doctoral degree (e.g. PhD, DSc, EdD) in physical therapy or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist
  • Current member of the American Physical Therapy Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in neurologic physical therapy
  • Prior experience in academic or clinical teaching
  • Specialization from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties
