The Associate Director, Donor Relations, works closely with colleagues across the Academic Medical Centers (AMC) Development Office and Mass General Brigham to project manage key deliverables related to principal and transformational gift solicitations. The Associate Director reports to the Senior Director, overseeing the principal and transformational solicitation program, and the gift agreement programs, and plays a key role as a member of the Donor Relations team.
Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities) 1. Participate in strategic conversations related to principal and transformational gift solicitations, including gift conversations at $10M+. 2. Serve as a project manager to coordinate the various deliverables that stem from gift strategy meetings, including funding and naming opportunities (people, places, programs), gift agreements, special correspondence, and fund-related questions. 3. Build strong relationships with Donor Relations team colleagues, gift officers, and other teams to ensure timely and seamless responses to requests. 4. Identify and implement strategic steps that will help to move gift conversations from strategy to fruition. 5. Partner with the Sr. Director to create and maintain new procedures and processes to ensure strong moves management. 6. In collaboration with the Sr. Director, identify and leverage technology apps, tools and multimedia communications strategies that enhance project management and deliverables. 7. Research industry trends, best practices, and benchmark with peer institutions to measure the program's success. This position requires 5-7 years of donor relations or related, transferable experience and a bachelor's degree.
