Job Summary

The Manager of Quality is responsible for MRB/corrective actions programs, and AS9100 / 9120 certifications and all other regulatory compliance requirements. This role will also partner with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Operations, Business Systems, and People & Culture. This role will be required to report to TEVET HQ daily, and applicant should reside with in a designated HubZone.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Function as a liaison between Supply Chain, Compliance, Sales and key suppliers to provide a proactive approach that resolves customer quality issues and improves existing supply base

* Draft quality policies and procedures as required by both customers, and internal TEVET processes

* Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data, and use data to identify areas for improvement within the TEVET quality system

* Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities, and organize training efforts to be compliant with meeting not only TEVET quality standards, but also to ensure company is driving a concept of continuous improvement

* Investigate escalated customer quality complaints and non-conformance issues and prepare and present required materials, to said customer

* Participate on cross-functional teams associated with process improvement projects, such as Kaizen, DMAIC or SIPOC events

* Assure on-going compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

* Review and provide guidance on daily PO quality and compliance questions

* Manage the CCQ pipeline performance and effectiveness

* Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Decision Making Responsibilities

Develop and implement policies and procedures that impact the mission of the organization. Represent the organization at a senior level to outside constituents. Work under general direction.

Education / Experience

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, with a concentration in quality, supply chain, or operations

* Quality certifications such as Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate or Six Sigma, is an advantage

* Quality auditing and testing experience preferred, with a focus on corrective action programs

* Advantage to those applicants that have product or industry-specific experience, and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements

* Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or willingness to obtain within 1 year from date of hire.

Abilities / Skills

  • General understanding of problem resolution, including 8D analysis
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
  • Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills

Equipment Proficiency

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and video conferencing platforms (Zoom and Teams).
