What to Expect
The Associate Sales Manager for the Megapack Sales Team plays a crucial role in supporting the sales of Tesla's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment to diverse customers, including data centers, utilities, and large industrial clients. This dynamic position involves assisting sales leaders throughout the entire sales cycle, from account management and technical diligence to contract negotiation and execution. Working closely with internal teams across engineering, finance, and legal, as well as external stakeholders, this role ensures seamless coordination of projects and fosters strong customer relationships in a rapidly growing technology and market landscape.

What You'll Do
  • Represent Tesla to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to support the sales process
  • Provide critical support throughout the sales cycle, including organization, customer engagement, and technical/economic analysis to meet targeted product volume or revenue goals
  • Generate high-quality, accurate quotes and project proposals aligned with customer requirements and Tesla's strategic objectives
  • Support an existing team of Megapack sales leads with internal CRM upkeep, contract generation, verification, and pipeline reporting
  • Assist senior sales leaders in managing a project pipeline of short, medium, and long-term opportunities across diverse customers, project types, and markets
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals and ensure project alignment
  • Provide regular reporting to management as required

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in the renewable energy or power sector
  • Experience in sales or business development in a customer-facing role
  • Working knowledge of battery systems, renewable power, and grid markets
  • Hands-on experience in contract negotiation or management in energy storage or renewables
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functionally in fast-paced settings
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills in complex price models, project economics, and risk analysis
  • Ability and flexibility to travel periodically

    Expected Compensation
    $108,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
