The Technology Specialist 3 will be responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance on BMS systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and energy efficiency across a variety of customer critical facilities. As a key member of our growing service team, you will diagnose system issues, implement timely repairs, and proactively maintain building automation systems to prevent downtime. Responsibilities

The Technical Specialist will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Independently develops, improves, and implements automation tools, configurations, and scripts for IT and OT systems.
  • Leads planning and execution of system implementation, maintenance, and reconfiguration efforts.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex functional, performance, and security issues.
  • Manages own tasks based on the area of responsibilities and supervises others as needed.
  • Develops and executes testing and commissioning procedures, including subsystem and system-level testing.
  • Creates detailed system and subsystem-level configuration specifications and procedures.
  • Participates in technical demonstrations and contributes to technical proposal writing.
  • Supports risk management activities to mitigate potential impacts on system performance and security.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites for startups
  • 3 year or more experience with BMS systems such as Distech Controls, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Automated Logic
  • 3 year or more experience with HVAC systems or HVAC controls
  • Service/maintenance experience troubleshooting BMS and/or HVAC issues is preferred
  • On site daily in Northern VA (Loudon, Fairfax, Prince William counties) and/or Washington DC

Qualifications

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
  • Associates with 8+ years of experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years experience or
  • Master's Degree with 3+ years experience
  • System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
  • Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
