  • Familiarity with ACI 318/349 and AISC Steel Construction Manuel
  • Civil/structural analysis, including familiarity with software tools such as ANSYS, GT STRUDL, or SASSI
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with Seismic analyses and methods of determining seismic loading
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills



Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Advisory Civil Structural Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Products & Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. This group performs a wide variety of analyses for concrete and structural steel components. Floor loading, anchorage analysis, transportation loadings on underground commodities, seismic analyses of fuel handling equipment and piping and pipe support analysis are amongst the many subjects tackled on a regular basis. These analyses and evaluations can be hand calculations, when applicable, or detailed finite element analysis, when necessary. As an experienced engineer, you would also be mentoring early career engineers on structural analysis. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $130,000 - $176,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
