The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Press Brake Supervisor to lead our team of press brake operators. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in metal fabrication, specifically with press brake operation, setup, and maintenance. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the press brake department; ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met or exceeded. The supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, training, and mentoring team members, as well as troubleshooting technical issues and implementing process improvements.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of press brake operators to achieve production goals.
  • Create and manage work schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all press brake-related activities.
  • Set up and operate CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf) to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bending sequence, tooling requirements, and machine settings.
  • Program press brakes using machine controls or offline software.


Education & Experience



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or trade school certification in metal fabrication, machining, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up CNC press brakes (Amada and Bystronic)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong knowledge of press brake tooling, including punches and dies.
  • Solid understanding of different metal types (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and their bending properties.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


Working Conditions:



  • This is a full-time position, typically working in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment.
  • The role may require standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and operating machinery.
  • Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
  • The work environment can be noisy and may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).


Salary Range (annual): $80,000 - $99,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
