As a Security Officer - Armed Corrections Patrols in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated corrections locations, supporting a secure and orderly environment. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity within a corrections environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to established protocols.
• Support the enforcement of facility rules and regulations as required by site procedures.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Work collaboratively with correctional staff and other personnel to help promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• Possession of a valid armed guard card or license is required.
• Possession of a corrections officer license is required.
• Possession of a law enforcement officer license is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
