Job Description




As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Stevenson, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment for all personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service while interacting with employees and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, entrances, and exits to help to control entry and exit from the premises.
  • Document and report any observed security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with individuals on site, including employees, visitors, and contractors, to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client management by following all site-specific instructions and participating in security-related drills and training sessions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
