As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Control in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming and professional presence. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, managing entry points, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and support. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following established procedures.
• Verify the credentials of personnel, visitors, and/or contractors entering and exiting the site to maintain compliance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting individuals at the location as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established guidelines and instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
