This is a remote position; however, the candidate must reside within 30 miles of one of the following locations: Boston, MA; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Dallas, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle, WA; and Portland, ME We are seeking a Software Engineer in the WEX Transaction Systems organization. This role will be a software engineer to help develop, drive, and execute implementation in an engineering team for the WEX Transaction Systems platform applications. Transaction Systems deals with card swipe authorization and clearing txn processing for WEX's industry-leading fuel card platform. As a Staff Software Engineer on our team, you will be a key contributor following best practices in developing, and maintaining our cloud-native solution and delivering best in class solutions. You'll work with a modern tech stack including containerization, Kafka event streams, core java and APIs written in Java. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
