Bevco is seeking a forward-thinking strategic Buyer to elevate our procurement function beyond transactional purchasing. This role is designed for a proactive professional who thrives on data-driven decision-making, supplier relationship management, and value creation. This role will be responsible for both tactical procurement and development of their assigned supply base. You'll play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies, optimizing cost structures, and driving innovation across our supply base.


Responsibilities:



  • Purchasing:

    • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor supplier performance.


  • Material Planning Optimization

    • Utilize MRP systems to plan material needs, track inventory levels, and prevent shortages.
    • Analyze demand patterns and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with material availability.


  • Inventory Management:

    • Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts.
    • Implement inventory control strategies to optimize working capital.


  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries.
    • Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction initiatives.




Qualifications:



  • 2-4 year's of Supply Chain experience required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, APICS CPIM) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of MRP principles, and ability to navigate ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in an electrical products manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
