As a member of the Gameplay Systems team, you will have the unique challenge of building the systems that empower internal developers and the creator community to deliver exceptional Minecraft experiences to players across multiple platforms. You will be a technical leader in this area and will define architecture, evaluate requirements, estimate development, and integrate high quality features into our products. Collaboration with peers in development, design, product, and quality will be key to delivering robust features on a predictable schedule. Successful candidates will be able to identify opportunities for improvement and guide other engineers to deliver quality features while helping build a healthy culture for the team. ResponsibilitiesBuild a deep understanding of customer needs to inform design and implementation decisions. Drive technical discussions, design, implementation, testing, and iteration on new and existing systems leading to maintainable high-quality code. Lead by example and mentor other engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team focused on quality. Take an active part in the tech strategy for your area and advocate great engineering practices as well as continuous improvement.
