Scope of Position The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) is committed to enhancing the quality and reliability of clinical care provided to patients. The Assistant Director develops and executes strategic and operational plans to ensure OSUWMC continues to be innovative and world renowned in its approaches to quality and quality improvement. Under the direction of the Director for Quality Program Coordination, this position identifies, oversees and ensures implementation of strategic Service Line and Ambulatory specific initiatives that support all levels of patient care within the organization. The Associate Director applies clinical knowledge and analytical skills to manage and oversee day-to-day operations of Ambulatory and Service Line quality teams in support of improving performance metrics to obtain organizational goals. To achieve these goals and quality metrics, the Associate Director works in collaboration with various health system clinical and operational leaders. In addition, the role will proactively lead an engagement strategy with other disciplines to ensure that information about quality performance is consistently delivered in meaningful and adaptable ways across to unit leadership, dyads/triads, ambulatory teams, etc. Position will be responsible for the development and mentorship of Service Line and Ambulatory quality staff in addition to fostering collaborative relationships with Departments/Divisions and Ambulatory providers across the OSUWMC. Position Summary Responsible for developing and executing multifaceted, institution-wide strategies for quality improvement, program monitoring and evaluation, and adherence to regulatory standards. Serve as partners to clinical service line and operational departments, as well as the ambulatory clinics and multispecialty practices to support patient care, patient safety, teaching, research, operations, quality management, and enterprise priorities. Seeks out and leverages evidence based best practice to inform action plans. Position will be responsible for ensuring Service Line and Ambulatory specific leaders develop comprehensive expertise within their subject areas and ensure alignment when feasible across service areas and the continuum of care. Position will be responsible for ensuring execution of plans that support improvement of specific quality metrics such as USNWR performance, Vizient Qamp;A, CMS, etc. Minimum Qualifications
