In this impactful role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring operational excellence and system resilience. You'll lead efforts in problem determination and service restoration, working to quickly resolve complex issues that could affect business operations. **Key Responsibilities and Impact:**

* Lead and execute problem determination and service restoration activities with a high sense of urgency.

* Interact effectively with all levels of technical and managerial staff, providing clear and concise communication.

* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes and procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational consistency.

* Actively engage in cross-training and mentoring co-workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

* Evaluate alternatives and consult with senior technical leaders to resolve business and service-impacting problems effectively.

* Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to diverse audiences.

* Gauge customer impact accurately and escalate issues with appropriate urgency, maintaining high service standards.

* Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving priorities.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience in systems engineering or a similar technical role.

* Demonstrated expertise in Control-M.

* Proficiency with mainframe environments, including JES/SDSF, ISPF, and JCL.

* System Administrator (SA) level knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, and Windows operating environments.

* Extensive experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS) and various file transfer protocols such such as NDM, FTP, SFTP, PGP/FTP, and NFS.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact with all levels of staff and leadership.

* Strong leadership abilities and a track record of success in problem determination and service restoration.

* Proven ability to resolve complex business and service-impacting problems while evaluating all alternatives.

* Capability to work independently and effectively cooperate within a team setting.

* Excellent judgment in gauging customer impact and escalating issues with appropriate urgency.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Advanced problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

* Experience in presenting complex technical information clearly and concisely.

* Knowledge of SQL and understanding of database infrastructure.

* Familiarity with network communication concepts, SSL, and LDAP.

* Exposure to Big Data technologies like Hadoop.

* Experience with Virtual Machines.

* Working knowledge of various database systems, including Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

* Understanding of Backup and Recovery strategies, as well as High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions.

* Experience with Unix and Microsoft Windows Clusters.

* Ability to read and debug logs effectively.

* Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting and PERL knowledge.
