Title: Supt Generation Hiring Manager:Preston P Moore Jr Recruiter: Lillian S Kiernan POSITION CONCEPT: The Superintendent - Generation is responsible in a line capacity to the Manager - Operations for the leadership of all assigned operating personnel. The incumbent is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems, including NERC compliance, environmental compliance, water management, team work assignments, and PM completion, to ensure an optimum and professional response to his customer's (Energy Control Center) power needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Required: A valid high school diploma or valid GED Preferred: EXPERIENCE: Required: A minimum of 5 years in the operation of an electrical generating facility Preferred: SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Required: Preferred: A minimum of 2 years leading industrial work team KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Required: Working knowledge of combined cycle generation. Understanding of the concept of "Operational Best Practices". Knowledge of Safe Work Practices including HEC Procedure requirements. COMPETENCIES:
