The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support our government customer located at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The DTRIAC Information Analysis Center (IAC) is looking for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to compliment the larger technical team in the use, verification, and validation of advanced Nuclear Weapon Effects (NWE) modeling tools and the design of legacy CAD models for advanced analysis needs. The primary mission of the Defense Threat Reduction Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC) is to provide timely electronic access to all nuclear weapons test data, legacy and current, to U.S. government programs supporting U.S. nuclear deterrent missions. DTRIAC maintains a repository of over 20,000 films, two million photographs, and 60 million pages of documents dating back to The Manhattan Project. Kpili Services is charged with making the above hardcopy materials easily accessible to DTRA deterrent mission researchers in a way that provides knowledge and meaning through the use of digitization, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data science. The successful candidate for the Model and Simulations Expert position will evaluate and understand historical data (including legacy code) to produce scientific and technical assessments for modern missions. The candidate is expected to be able to review, evaluate, and analyze programs written in legacy codes such as Fortran 77, 90 & 95. Strong collaboration with other DTRA departments and agencies will occur. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
