  Design, develop and scale core payment infrastructureDirectly work with internal and external stakeholders to understand pain points, proposing solutions, and shipping themRe-think and design the reconciliation platform from 0 to 1 with an AI-first visionOwn end-to-end the complete lifecycle of all offline payments at TeslaIdentify and incorporate AI Agents to increase automationImplement orchestration engines for reliability and human-in-the-loop workflowsImprove the reliability and observability of the Payment platforms at TeslaApply software engineering best practices - including version control, testing, CI/CD, and containerizationWhat You'll Bring
 
  Degree in Computer Science, or a related field-or equivalent experience5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including designing and operating production systems at scaleExperience architecting and maintaining distributed systems, with deep familiarity in container orchestration, service deployment, and infrastructure operationsDemonstrated ability to set up robust observability systems from scratch, including distributed tracing, logging, and metrics pipelinesHands-on experience with workflow orchestration platforms and self-hosting complex infrastructure components in high-availability environmentsExperience building AI agents or integrating intelligent systems into real-world applications, with an understanding of system-level design considerations for AI-powered functionalityExposure to the payments or financial systems space is a strong plusCompensation and Benefits

  Staff Software Development Engineer - $185,440 - $278,160/annual salary  + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
