Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support a critical DOT IT program focused on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) data infrastructure modernization in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have the proven track record, skills, and experience to provide senior-level quality control and assurance, particularly within a firm fixed price contract structure. This role is integral to the successful sustainment and modernization of the FMCSA TruData platform, ensuring quality standards are met across technical deliverables and that contractual service levels are maintained. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Quality Assurance Analyst will have complete accountability for quality control and will specifically be responsible for:
- Contract Quality Oversight: Providing senior-level quality control to ensure successful program execution on a firm fixed price contract.
- QASP Management: Ensuring adherence to the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), including associated milestones required to achieve Full Operating Capability (FOC).
- Performance Monitoring: Utilizing expertise with Government Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP) to actively monitor contractor performance and provide oversight to ensure that defined service levels (SLAs) are reached and maintained.
- Testing & Validation: Supporting and continuing the modernization of the TruData platform, including quality assurance across the entire data lifecycle.
- Technical QA: Ensuring quality control and validation for projects involving the AWS native technology stack , which includes but is not limited to: Amazon Redshift, Data Pipeline, AWS Data Exchange, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Research Data Validation: Applying experience in developing and testing software for the reduction, analysis, and presentation of research data.

Requirements
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Management, or a related field.
Proven Track Record:
- DOT experience is required.
- Experience in developing and testing software for reduction, analysis, and presentation of research data. Fluency in computer languages and familiarity with computer hardware and software, including that associated with data acquisition and remote sensing.
- Possess current knowledge of system reliability, cybersecurity, and DOT IT policies.
- The contractor shall utilize AWS native technology stack or other provided technology.
- Support and continue the modernization of the TruData platform.
- Experience with technology sets but is not limited to: Amazon Redshift, Data Pipeline, AWS Data Exchange, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.
