Job Description

Supervises and coordinates the staff and activities of monitor technicians. Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility




  • Promotes Monitor Technician department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
  • Leads the activities of assigned Monitor Technician team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
  • Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to optimize operational service.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff.
  • Analyzes, recommends, implements, and monitors approved work-flow changes.
  • Participates in developing and delivering training related to operations.
  • Ensures staff adheres to infection control protocols, hospital, and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintains appropriate usage and par levels of stock and equipment.
  • Orders supplies and maintains inventory in a cost effective manner.
  • Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical issues, and performs minor repairs.

Job Qualification




  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
