Who we are looking for: We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Supervisor - Night shift to be based out of the Houston, TX plant. Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will oversee Night shift operations. This person will be responsible for managing the functions of the shop floor to aid and improve the operational performance of the facility. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. What you'll do:
 
  
 Supervise hourly manufacturing team membersSchedule and assign work tasks to meet production goals and objectivesCreate and modify standardized work and ensure consistent application by all team membersProvide technical expertise in all responsible areasEnsure products are prepared according to requirements and ready for on-time deliveryMaintain ERP system, develop and maintain master dataEnsure coordination between Planning, Scheduling, and Operations to achieve KPI goalsMaintain and be accountable for KPI reporting while actively participating in Lean Daily Management activitiesMaintain Daily, Weekly, and Monthly tracking of delivery metrics to ensure strong customer serviceIdentify and execute opportunities for improvement through Kaizen and team-planning participationPartner with EHS and/or HR support to investigate, resolve, and provide corrective measures for accidents, injuries, production, and personnel issuesUphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and housekeeping practicesMaintain consistent and fair labor relationsFacilitate a work environment that encourages teamwork and promotes high levels of self-esteem and winning attitudesAll other duties as assigned
 What you'll bring:
 
 
  
 Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' relevant work experience, manufacturing experience preferredSix Sigma/Lean Principles knowledge preferredAS400 and/or JD Edwards ERP experience preferredSix Sigma/Lean Management experience preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in powered-press, plating, and/or manual packing and picking operations preferredFunctional knowledge of general Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and business processesAbility to work under minimal supervision, plan workload and establish work prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively and comfortably with all organizational levels, both written and verbalFlexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends, when supervision is requiredDemonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence

 Update training materials and procedures.Partner with Safety and HR to investigate and provide corrective measures for on-the-job accidents, injuries, production issues, and HR issues.Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
 Within 12 months, you'll:
 
 
  
 Be managing an efficient team that delivers Atkore's strategy.Creating and updating reports, training materials and documentation.Have meaningful performance conversations with your direct reports.Be able to resolve any issues quickly and safely

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $69,760 - $95,920. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.  Benefits available include:
