Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a Coordinator of Community Standards and Student Conduct. Assist in the daily operations of the student conduct process and contribute to the promotion of a safe, respectful, and educational campus environment. Assists with case management, student outreach, and educational programming related to community standards. This role is highly student-facing, emphasizing fairness, accountability, and developmental support while helping ensure institutional policies are implemented consistently. This is a full-time position working on campus M-F days. Key Responsibilities
- Case management: review incident reports, manage schedule for student engagement and assigning of appropriate outcomes or sanctions, facilitation of student conduct hearings and investigations to ensure fair and impartial processes.
- Data management includes maintaining accurate records of conduct cases, compiling reports to assess and improve processes, incident reports, and charges, and performing regular data audits.
- Development and implementation of educational programs and workshops that promote understanding of community standards and responsible behavior.
- Collaborate with Fraternity and Sorority Life and Student Life Involvement to provide prevention trainings and manage conduct cases and conflict resolution.
- Ensure consistent application of community standards, support proactive programming, and address conduct issues within the residential community.
- Serve as a resource for students on alcohol and drug misuse, conduct-related concerns, and conflict resolution; assisting with mediation for student disputes; and participating in campus life activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in student conduct, student affairs, or a related area in higher education.
- Knowledge of student conduct processes, conflict resolution techniques, and legal issues related to higher education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse student populations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and to foster a respectful and inclusive campus environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and sensitivity.
- Computer proficiency required, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, database management.
