Job Description




As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener Full-Time in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a leading tech and media environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere by monitoring access points, assisting with badge procedures, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on site. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, all while upholding the values of Allied Universal, including teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Screen individuals entering designated locations by verifying credentials, inspecting bags, and monitoring for prohibited items in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with information and directions, while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Follow established security-related procedures and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies, including escalating issues as needed.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or violations of company policies to Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and site staff to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment at the location.
  • Participate in regular briefings, training sessions, and drills to stay current with procedures and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge procedures is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
