Cybersecurity Engineer - 25-033 - San Diego, California

AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting, opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, California.

Job Description:

  • Provide cybersecurity engineering and vulnerability management to a Navy Program.
  • Serve as a cybersecurity expert for the program throughout the stages of system engineering, development and vulnerability remediation. This will include successfully executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment process, development of security assessment plans, conducting assessments, executing and compiling of assessment results for client security assessment reports.
  • Plan and execute system scans to meet client requirements, analyze results, develop reports to be used to determine system vulnerabilities and risk posture, as well as provide recommendations for remediation to achieve desired security and risk posture.
  • Help identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
  • Remediate existing vulnerabilities and assist with developing mitigations that minimize impact, likelihood or risks.
  • Work with the program to incorporate findings into the system POA&M.
  • Executing VRAM maintenance, process Boundary Change Requests (BCRs) and participate in ad hoc cybersecurity data calls.
Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance upon hire.
  • Must have a DoD 8140 IAM/IAT Level II cert upon hire.
  • Bachelor of Science degree with focus in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • eMass or XACTA experience required.
  • Experience developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages required.
  • Experience with VM environments.
  • IATT/ATO submission experience.
  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DCSA Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Process Manual, Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 703, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and associated National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publications.
  • Employ strong written and verbal communication skills to advise various levels of technology stakeholders, program initiatives and accrediting authorities on security requirements and cybersecurity trends and solutions, to include risk assessments and mitigations.
  • Approximate travel: 10%
  • This is a hybrid position.

Salary Range: $100K-130K

Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in Level I-V.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.

AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
