About the role:
As a Infrastructure Engineer, Automation,
on the Platform team, you will be the backbone of our engineering operations, building and maintaining the infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines that enable our software teams to ship code efficiently and securely. You will move away from application-layer development to focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and system stability within a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who loves solving infrastructure puzzles, automating away manual toil, and building stable platforms that allow development teams to thrive.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate the provisioning and configuration of RHEL servers and infrastructure
  • Own the architecture and maintenance of GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software artifacts
  • Manage containerized applications and environments using Docker, ensuring efficient resource utilization and isolation
  • Perform advanced administration of RHEL environments, including patching, security hardening, and performance tuning
  • Develop custom automation scripts and tools using Python and Shell (Bash) to streamline operational tasks
  • Work closely with software engineers to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize the development feedback loop

What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience



  • Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)



  • Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management



  • Proficiency with GitLab (administering runners, writing .gitlab-ci.yml configurations, and managing repositories)



  • Strong programming skills in Python and Shell/Bash scripting for automation and system tasks



  • Experience running and managing containers using Docker or Podman



Highly preferred:


  • Experience configuring and managing Red Hat IdM (Identity Management) or FreeIPA



  • Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) or OpenShift for container orchestration



  • Familiarity with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralized logging and monitoring



  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments



  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.



Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance

Work Type:

  • Onsite daily in Colorado Springs, CO
  • May require up to 15% travel

Salary Range:

  • $135,000 - $150,000
